ABOUT US
- Go Make Impact Foundation (GMIF) is a non-profit organization that empowers young people and adolescents in Kenya.
- Founded in 2010 in Mombasa as a Community-Based Organization (CBO), GMIF focused on building life skills among youth in the Coastal region. In 2018, we transitioned into a registered NGO to expand our reach across the six coastal counties and beyond to other vulnerable communities in Kenya.
- Our head office is based in Bamburi, Mombasa, and our activities are coordinated through county representatives and partner CBOs across the coastal region.
HOW WE WORK
GMIF is guided by an Advisory Board of experts in finance, ICT, youth engagement, leadership, research, and entrepreneurship. The team is supported by project officers who deliver programs in key areas:
- Adolescent & Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health (AYSRH)
- Entrepreneurship & Innovation
- Career Development & Leadership
- Youth Engagement & Extension
At GMIF, we recognize the urgent need for equity and justice in society. We are committed to creating awareness and empowering young women and men to understand their rights and responsibilities as citizens.
Mentorship is one of the key approaches GMIF uses to influence positive change. It creates space for us to listen to young people, understand the challenges they face in their daily lives—whether in health, career choices, or personal growth—and provide meaningful guidance.
At GMIF, our team has been actively involved in designing and implementing diverse training programs tailored to the needs of our beneficiaries. These programs are developed after carefully identifying training gaps across different components of GMIF initiatives.
